"Astral Chain" is an action-packed, anime-inspired game developed by PlatinumGames, set in a futuristic world where humanity's last bastion against interdimensional invaders lies in the hands of special police officers known as Neuron.

Players assume the role of a rookie officer in Neuron, tasked with defending the Ark, a massive, multi-layered city, from a mysterious otherworldly threat known as the Chimera. Equipped with a powerful weapon known as the Legion and bound by an otherworldly chain, players must unravel the mysteries behind the Chimera invasion while battling against these formidable foes.

The game's protagonist can choose to play as either a male or female officer, each with their own distinct personality and backstory. Alongside their twin sibling, they join the elite Neuron task force and embark on a series of high-stakes missions to investigate the origins of the Chimera and prevent their destructive influence from spreading.
