Upon arriving in Rogueport, Mario discovers that the town is teeming with colourful characters, from helpful allies to mischievous rogues. To unlock the secrets of the Thousand-Year Door and rescue Princess Peach, Mario must collect seven Crystal Stars scattered across the land.

In classic Paper Mario fashion, players embark on a journey through diverse environments, from lush forests and treacherous mountains to haunted mansions and ancient ruins. Along the way, Mario encounters a host of quirky allies, including the fiery Goombella, the cunning Koops, and the mysterious Ms. Mowz, each with their own unique abilities to aid him on his quest.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 1 - Prologue - Princess Peach finds a Magical Map to a Mysterious Treasure and send Mario the Map. We head to Rougueport to meet up with the Princess but she is nowhere to be found. We discover the secret of the map and start our adventure! 

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 2 - Chapter 1 - We head through Petal Meadows, meeting Koops and gaining the stones needed to unlock a way to Hooktails Castle.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 3 - Chapter 1 - We head through Hooktails Castle and finally come face to face with Hooktail herself. Luigi joins the audience and is nearly eaten!

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 6 - Chapter 3 - After doing a favour for Don Pianta, we manage to get Blimp Tickets for the Glitz Pit where we enrol as a fighter. it appears Rawk Hawk has the Crystal Star so we must battle our way to the top!

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 7 - Chapter 3 - We battle in the Minor League some more and then take a shot at the Major League, and our Yoshi Egg hatches, but what colour Yoshi pops out??

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 8 - Chapter 3 - We battle in the Major League and get dragged into a mysterious investigation into the goings on at the Glitz Pit by someone called X. We also take on the Hawk who wants to RAWK us!!!!!

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 9 - Chapter 3 - We discover the truth about the Glitz Pit and Grubba and then must take on Grubba's Ultimate Form! Luigi also saves a villages daughter while dressed as a Bride.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 10 - Chapter 4 - We make our way to Twilight Town where we discover the towns folk are being turned into Pigs! We then have our body stolen!!!!

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 11 - Chapter 4 - We make our way to Twilight Town and call out Doopliss for imposing as Mario! Peach learns what Grodus plans to do with the Crystal Stars!

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 12 - Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 - We head back to Hooktail's Castle on a quest to find the elusive badge and gain Ms. Mowz as a partner. We then make our way to Keelhaul Key and Chapter 5, looking for the next Crystal Star.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 13 - Chapter 5 - On Keelhaul Key we set off in search of survivors and come across some including Bobbery who bravely fends off a few spirits. We eventually come across the Pirate's Grotto and still in search of the Crystal Star we delve deeper and deeper, once again being cursed!

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 14 - Chapter 5 - On Keelhaul Key we continue in the Pirate's Grotto and come face to face with Cortez. After the epic battle we discover where the next Crystal star is, but need to get tickets for the Excess Express train.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 15 - Chapter 6 - Excess Express Voyage Day 1 - We board the Excess Express in order to reach Poshley Heights but all is not as smooth as it should be on the train and soon we are sucked into some detective work in order to solve a sticky yummy threat.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 16 - Chapter 6 - Excess Express Voyage Day 2 - Aboard the Excess Express heading to Poshley Heights we solve yet another mystery and have to head through the Riverside Station.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 17 - Chapter 6 - Excess Express Voyage Day 3 - Aboard the Excess Express heading to Poshley Heights we scome under attack by a giant SMORG monster! When we finally reach our destination we are tasked with finding the Crystal Star in the Sanctum.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 18 - Chapter 7 - Trouble Board - We complete the rest of the Troubles posted on the board, unlocking various new ingredients for cooking in the process of helping people.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 19 - Chapter 7 - Mario Shoots the Moon - We head to Fahr Outpost in search of a way to get to the Moon, we then end up chasing General White through past locations and getting Goldbobs permission to use... BIG BOB!

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 20 - Chapter 7 - We head deeper into the X-Naut Fortress and discover that the Princess has already been taken away, with the help of TEC during his last moments, we escape the moon base.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 21 - Chapter 8 - We head into the Palace of Shadow in search of the Princess, but we instead find Gloomtail!

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 22 - Chapter 8 - We continue through the Palace of Shadow Tower after which we meet The Shadow Sisters and Doopliss. after we wipe the floor with them, we head of through deeper into the Palace where we stop outside the throne room.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 23 - Chapter 8 - We face off against Grodus, then Bowser and Kammy, and then the Shadow Queen herself in the dramatic story finale.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Played on the Switch - Part 26 - Pit of 100 Trials - We jump down the Pit of 100 Trails for a second time to meet the Secret Boss Whacka at the bottom on Floor 100. We get the last tattle to complete the tattle log which, along with complete recipes and badge collections, give us access to the Gold Medal Badge.
